Dar e Nijaat Episode 27

Have you started watching Darenijat yet? If not, let me tell you why everyone’s talking about it.

ARY Digital’s newest drama brings together Shehryar Munawar and Dur-e-Fishan Saleem, and honestly, the story hooks you fast. Saba Hamid plays the grandmother, and her role ends up being way more important than you’d expect.

So what’s the story about?

Zaryab is brilliant. Like, Harvard-admission-level brilliant. And she has this deep connection with Zamil, a boy who’s just as smart as she is. But here’s the twist — Zamil’s grades start slipping. His CGPA drops, stress takes over, and he begins questioning everything about his life.

That questioning leads him somewhere unexpected: back to his faith. Slowly, he becomes a true practicing Muslim. And weirdly enough, this change in him is what starts pulling him and Zaryab apart.

The heartbreak that changes everything:

They’re in a serious relationship. Deep love, the kind you build a future around. So when Zamil suddenly marries another girl — one he sees as more practicing, more aligned with the man he’s trying to become — it destroys Zaryab.

She never saw it coming. Not even a little. And what makes it worse? Zamil and his new wife end up living together in London, while Zaryab is left to process a breakup she never agreed to.

This isn’t just heartbreak. It’s trauma. A full nervous breakdown kind of trauma.

Enter Abu Bakar:

Here’s where the story gets even more layered. Zaryab’s grandmother has someone else in mind for her — Abu Bakar, a relative from her side of the family. He’s everything Zamil isn’t, at least on paper: a Harvard student, successful, practicing, and clearly Dada’s favorite.

Funny enough, Zamil never got into Harvard. Abu Bakar did.

When Zamil moves on with someone else, Zaryab agrees to marry Abu Bakar. And that’s when things really start triggering Zamil.

What really stood out was the mirror effect.

What makes this drama interesting isn’t just the love triangle. It’s how Abu Bakar and Zamil almost reflect each other. Zamil tries to become a practitioner too, tries to follow that same path — but watching Abu Bakar live it so naturally, so effortlessly, seems to trigger something in him. Like he’s chasing an identity that already belongs to someone else.

And then there’s dadi — practicing, firm, but clearly acting out of love for her granddaughter. And Zaryab herself? She’s not some quiet, reserved character. She’s full of life, a proper “girlie” energy that makes her feel real, not like a typical drama heroine who just cries in every scene.

Why people are hooked?

Honestly, it’s the mix of everything — faith, ambition, heartbreak, family expectations — all colliding in one story. You’re not just watching a love triangle. You’re watching two men chase the same version of themselves, and one girl caught in the middle of it, trying to survive her own trauma.

That’s rare for a drama to pull off well.

So tell me — are you Team Zamil, or do you think Zaryab deserves someone like Abu Bakar? Drop your thoughts below; I’m curious what everyone thinks.
